Location: The Waterline Project In the Waterline Project, pictures work back and forth between both abstract and realism. The combination of the two, one playing on the other has appeared extensively in other works as well. Waterline was inspired primarily by excursions on the great Athabasca and North Saskatchewan Rivers in northern Alberta. It originated from smaller works first undertaken on the Sturgeon River, a few kilometers southeast of Entwhistle, Alberta, on a cool spring evening in early April 1998. Over time, with repeated visits, which seem to fall biennially, new and much larger works have evolved and been added. With ever growing visual language and story, it is my intent to continue this project…its objectives for completion remain undefined.
